Miss Greta explains our logo:
Briefly, Navy Lt. Beale's commission was to explore and establish an expedient route along the 35th parallel. In his first expedition he used, among other beasts of burden, the Camel in an effort to validate the animal's practicality in arid US operations. The flag against which the Camel stands is, of course, our State's.
When driving down Beale Street, look for the storefront: it's not easy to miss!
